IDB to expand lending for renewable energy and climate–related projects in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Inter-American Development Bank, the leading source of long-term lending for Latin America and the Caribbean, announced its intention to increase its financing for renewable energy and climate-related projects to $3 billion a year by 2012.
