Participatory Forest Management Project (Tanzania)

 

This project supports partnerships between forest communities and the Tanzanian Government, so that they can work together to conserve their fragile forest resources.

Participatory management of the forest allows efficient resource use and conservation, contributing to the project's key objectives: to reduce poverty and ensure environmental sustainability. The project brings together experts from government, NGOs and research institutions to assist forest users in claiming and using their rights of access to forest resources.
